When we sit quietly and open ourselves to contact with our Higher Power, problems may come to mind. For many of us, the greatest problem is our thinking rather than the situations we have to deal with.

We complicate what is very simple. Our problems may seem large or overwhelming from today’s perspective.

By tomorrow or next month most of them will be resolved in some way, and we may not even remember them. Our spiritual path teaches us to do first things first each day and not fret about the outcome. –Touchstones | More…

The simple truth is that this moment is all God has allowed right now. It’s God’s design that we will live fully each moment, as it comes.

Therein lies the richness of our lives. Each moment contributes to the full pattern that’s uniquely our own.

We must not miss the potential pleasure of any experience because our thoughts are elsewhere. Being in tune with now, this moment, guarantees a direct line of communication to God. It also guarantees a full, yet simple life.  –Each Day a New Beginning/Karen Casey | More…

It is the Law that any difficulties that can come to you at any time, no matter what they are, must be exactly what you need most at the moment, to enable you to take the next
step forward by overcoming them. The only real misfortune, the only real tragedy, comes when we suffer without learning the lesson. –Emmet Fox | More…

Everything’s so simple, and we make everything so complicated. That’s why we’re confused. The Creator designed a very simple set of Laws for us to follow. If we follow these simple things, we’ll be happy. If we don’t follow these simple things, our lives become complicated.

For example:…

•Respect Mother Earth
•Love one another
•Be truthful
•Give to your brother and sisters
•Be gentle with each other
•Be happy

Following these simple Laws will have great rewards. –Elders | More…

Our program is simple. It has four equal parts: sobriety, fellowship, service, and faith. Sobriety means we don’t use alcohol or drugs any more. Fellowship means we let people into our lives. We work at having a life that’s rich with friends. Service means we help when we see the need. It means knowing we have much to offer. Faith means we believe in a loving, caring Higher Power. It means using our Higher Power as a guide in life. –Keep It Simple

For spiritual deepening, many of us men do not need to enrich the events in our lives as much as we need to simplify and quiet ourselves. we can slow ourselves down and notice and reflect upon our experiences. Then they will have meaning and value for us. –Touchstones |More…
